  • Who can benefit from therapy?
Therapy offers valuable benefits for everyone, regardless of age or background. It provides a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or seeking personal growth, therapy can guide you towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.
  • What can I expect during a session?
Each session is 50 minutes and everything we discuss is kept confidential. We will work together to identify your goals and explore ways to achieve them. I work with you to gain clarity on your challenges and address them in a supportive, non-judgmental manner. For optimal results in therapy, regular sessions are beneficial as they help build momentum and accelerate progress. In my experience, weekly sessions tend to be the most effective, though some clients find bi-weekly sessions work better for them. Ultimately, the choice is yours, based on what feels most comfortable for you.
  • Do you offer in-person sessions?
No, I only offer virtual sessions.
  • Are the fees covered by OHIP?
While social work is a regulated health profession in Ontario, it is NOT covered by OHIP. However, most extended health benefits plans (often included in your employer's health insurance package), do cover psychotherapy services. I suggest contacting your insurance provider to confirm your coverage for therapy provided by a Registered Social Worker.
  • How can I pay?
I accept e-transfers. Payments can be sent to therapywithhasina@gmail.com. After payment is received, I will email you an invoice to submit to your insurance provider.
  • Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, I offer a sliding scale.
  • Are sessions tax deductible?
Since 2012, psychotherapy services provided by a Registered Social Worker have been recognized as a tax-deductible medical expense by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
